OCEANEX was founded by a group of ambitious wreck and cave divers who all had one problem: There were no really good, reliable diving lamps for professionals.

Most systems – even those from well-known manufacturers – were manufactured in Asia, were of dubious quality and did not have the light output and light characteristics that were really important for professionals.

The friends came up with the plan to make the best dive lamp for technical divers that was technically possible.

One of these divers, Ulrich Hofmann, (in the photo above and in the middle of the photo at the top) is not only an enthusiastic technical diver, but also an enthusiastic technician and founded the company OCEANEX in 2015.

The rest is history. Today, OCEANEX builds what are probably the most powerful and reliable lighting systems for technical divers worldwide.

The Oceanex expertise

OCEANEX lighting systems are based on the expertise of experienced divers and are therefore developed by professionals for professionals. OCEANEX supporters come from all respected diving associations and the experiences of the Oceanex community range from wreck divers to professional divers and cave divers. This diversity and expertise are the basis of all OCEANEX technical developments.

At OCEANEX, we develop our products ourselves and source components from suppliers in Germany. For example, the best machinists, glassblowers and electronics professionals work for Oceanex

In this way, we can react very quickly to technical innovations and continuously implement improvements.

Our team of experts includes over a dozen highly qualified professionals, including engineers, mechanical engineers, lathe operators, electronics experts – and of course TEC divers.

By outsourcing special work that requires the best specialists in their field, we can keep the prices of our systems as low as possible while maintaining outstanding quality.

The OCEANEX's practical experience and the expertise of its employees have made it possible to develop THE professional diving lamp for technical divers and wreck divers, which is manufactured entirely in Germany.

After two years of development work, we present the successor model to our “Sunbeam” lighting system, used by professionals all over the world: the OCEANEX Morph 2.0. Lighting system that is a further development of the Sunbeam series with numerous innovations.

With a light output of up to an incredible 125,000 lux or 5,500 lumens and a weight of just 395 grams ! for the lamp head, it sets a new standard worldwide for lighting systems for technical divers.
